TOURCAN VACATIONS – TERMS & CONDITIONS


1. DEPOSITS:

  • 25% of the ticket value against advance at the time of booking along with the list of guests/Pax and their passport scanned soft copies.
  • Balance payment 60 days prior to the departure date.
  • If the balance payment is not made at least 60 days prior to the departure date, a penalty of 12% interest will be applied.
  • In case of bookings made within 60 days prior to departure date then 100% payment shall be deposited to the authorised O&M operator along with the booking details.
  • The rate of exchange prevailing on the date of transaction would be applicable as per the RBI.
  • GST as applicable shall be charged extra.
  • Tariff for the children aging up to 5 years will be charged @15%.
  • Tariff for the children aging above 5 years but less than 12 years shall charge @75%.
  • One cabin has occupancy of 2 Pax only.
  • The Tariff in Indian currency is fixed for the guests having valid Indian Nationality proof i.e., Valid Indian passport & OCI card holders (valid proof for the same need to be submitted at the time of booking in case of any variance in the documents than Dollar rate would be applicable).

2. CANCELLATIONS:

    <li10% of ticket value shall be deducted on cancellation between 120 to 90 days before the travel date.
  • 25% of ticket value shall be deducted on cancellation between 89 to 60 days before the travel date.
  • 50% of the ticket value shall be deducted on cancellation around 59 to 30days before the travel date.
  • No refund shall be admissible in case the booking is cancelled within 29 days before the departure date.
  • On cancellation of booking Suo-moto by Operator 100% of the fund deposited (without any kind of charges/claims) will be refunded.
  • However, Operator will not be liable for any refund or compensation for any services such as pre/post accommodation, airline tickets, and excursions etc. that have been booked by the guest and/or their Travel Agent.
  • Operator, under information to RTDC reserves the right to cancel the tour/trips at any given point of time to whatsoever reasons, 100% of received amount will be refunded in such cases.
  • Operator has the right to decide the same between 45days to 30days of the departure and officially inform the agents or individuals of such bookings
  • The minimum occupancy defined is of 50% to run the operations, that is 17cabins.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policies – Palace On Wheels :All the Cancellation requests must be made in writing to the Palace on Wheels Reservation team & the same must be acknowledged by the Reservation Team

4. Cancellation Charges

  • Minimum 20% gross value of Train Ticket will be levied as Cancellation Fee if the tickets cancelled before 90 days or more left for Tour Departure.
  • Minimum 25% gross value of Train Ticket will be levied as Cancellation Fee if the tickets cancelled before 75 Days or more left but not more than 89 days for Tour Departure.
  • 100% gross value of Train Ticket will be levied as Cancellation Fee if the tickets cancelled before 74 days or less left for Tour Departure.
  • Note : The Above terms are applicable on Complete or Partial booking cancellation.

5. No Shows/ En-Route Termination:

  • In case of No Show / Non-arrival of the guest, refund or adjustment for future travel will not be applicable. The whole amount shall be treated as forfeited.
  • In case of En-route termination of tour by the guest, for any reasons refund or adjustment will not be applicable. The amount for unused portion of the tour shall be treated as forfeited.

6. Tour Amendments:

  • All Amendments are subject to Approvals from authorised team of Palace on Wheels.
  • Amendments only possible under the circumstances like Natural Disaster / Natural Calamity or Serious Health Problem's (this needs to be supported by doctor's certificate) and is subject to approval.
  • No refunds are possible, and every case will be decided on merits on a case-to-case basis. No amendment will be permissible in case of booking of groups or complete train.
  • EN Route termination of tour: In Case termination of tour by the guest, for any reasons, no refund or adjustment for future travel will be admissible. The amount for unused portion of the tour shall be treated as forfeited.

7. General Rules:

  • Cancellation rules to be applicable in case travel documents or pending payments not received as per booking terms & conditions.
  • In special case-where travel date of same passengers needs to be postponed to future specific dates, Minimum US$ 100 per person will be charged & the same will be subject to availability and approvals.
  • Request for refund of advance/full payment, due to death Or serious illness of passenger will be at sole discretion of management of Palace on Wheels.
  • In case of scheduled train tour depart is cancelled because of any reasons by Train Tour operator (RTDC), Guest will be informed at least one week before train depart & in such cases – Full amount received will be refunded (without any cancelation fee) to the Guest .
  • Palace on Wheel or its associated entities CANNOT BE held liable to compensate for any additional Financial Loss caused viz Fee towards Cancellation of Air Tickets, Hotel Booking etc or if any Mental Trauma caused. No Interest or compensation will be payable in case of Tour Cancellation by tour operator.
  • All foreign passport holders require valid Indian Visa before boarding flight to India.
  • Request for refund due to refusal of Indian Visa will not be entertain Or Overseas passenger landing in India without proper travel documents-will be governed by cancellation rules.
  • No refund will be made in case of no-show Or self-curtailment of journey
  • Un-willingness to follow train tour as per schedule, will be non-refundable
  • At times, due to local logistics/ conditions, if Train tour Manager is forced to cancel certain scheduled sightseeing tours Or activities, at short notice – No refund will be made to passenger to compensate for this.
  • Where passenger makes request for refund due to self cancellation, it will be governed as per foreign exchange rules of RBI Bank and the process may take 4 to 6 weeks after documentention as per RBI guidlines is received.
  • We reserves the right to charge MINIMUM US$ 100 per person as service charge & refund will be made as per INR Rupees amount received.

8. Important Advisory

  • We strongly suggest all guests to pre-purchase Tour Insurance from country of origin of travel.
  • From 3rd week of December to 3rd week of January-North India experiences heavy fog conditions & it is suggested to passengers to arrive at least one day earlier in New Delhi during that period.
  • Liability of Principal train Tour Operator is limited to as defined in Indian Railways Act.
  • Disputes (if any) are subject to jurisdiction of courts at Jaipur (Rajasthan) only.
