Day 1 Panama Arrival – El Valle
Upon arrival at airport in Panama, you will be warmly met by a representative, who will provide assistance and transfer to your accommodation to check-in. El Valle de Anton or Anton Valley is famous for its market featuring handcrafts, fresh fruits, vegetables and beautiful native plants such as orchids and bougainvilleas. El Valle, emerged from an extinct huge volcano crater; features several picturesque small towns with small and comfortable Boutique Hotels or Bed & Breakfasts. The moderate and spring-like climate makes El Valle an excellent summer resort. Besides of being one of the bird watching hot spots of the country, El Valle de Anton offers fascinating hiking possibilities, zip line tours through the cloud and rain forest or scenic rides on a horseback.

Day 2 El Valle Hike
Activities:
- This combination tour shows you the very best of El Valle: The stunning waterfall Chorro Macho, the ancient Petroglyphs, Butterfly Garden Thermal Water Wells, the famous handicrafts and fruit market and the Zoo “El Nispero”.

Day 3 India Dormida
Activities:
- This trek takes you to the India Dormida (Sleeping Indian Girl), a centuries old impressive mountain, which when viewed from a distance, reflects an accurate silhouette configuration resembling of a sleeping girl. The trek is moderate and offers stunning views of El Valle and on the Pacific Ocean.
- On the downhill you will pass several waterfalls and end your hike at the Petroglyphs.

Day 4 Panama City / Half Day Panama City Tour & Miraflores Locks
Activities:
- Your English speaking guide will pick you up at your hotel in El Valle and take you back to the City where you will start a short visit to Panama City and the Miraflores Locks.
- You will start the tour with a 30 minutes’ drive to Miraflores to see the huge vessels passing the Panama Canal. The busiest hours are from 9am to 10am and from 2pm to 5pm, so you will be able to see many ships getting lifted or lowered 16 meters in two distinct steps. You will enjoy the view on the Locks from a sheltered terrace and listen to the explanations of your guide.
- To complete the visit of the Canal you will visit the Museum and Visitor Center at Miraflores which gives you a good idea on the construction of the Canal – a masterpiece of engineering. You will also learn about the history of the canal and its significance for Panama and the entire world trade as well as on the current expansion project.
- After the visit to the Canal you continue with your guide to the Amador Causeway, a road that connects three Islands in the Pacific Ocean and offers magnificent views on the Canal on one side and on the skyline of Panama City on the other side.
- The tour continues to the Casco Viejo, Panama City’s colonial quarter. At the Casco Viejo you feel set back in time as you admire the lovely colonial houses, the narrow roads and the impressive churches. You will get a good idea about Panama’s history by driving or walking through the main attractions of this quarter.

Day 5 Pearl Islands
Activities:
- You will be transferred to the domestic airport, where you will take a 20 minutes flight to the pristine San Jose Island, part of the Pearl Islands Archipelago. A representative of the hotel will pick you up at the airstrip and take you to your secluded luxury resort, just a few steps away from the white sand beaches. From your spacious balcony or from the restaurant you will enjoy the stunning ocean view.
- The Pearl Islands are an archipelago located just 90 kilometers southeast of Panama City in the middle of the Gulf of Panama. An abundant quantity of white, black and golden beaches and coves surround the lush and green islands embedded between the temperate and calm turquoise waters of the Pacific Ocean. Many fresh water rivers and streams flow into the ocean creating a food source for many species of fish. This provides excellent opportunities for exciting inshore fishing what makes the archipelago a paradise for fishermen and divers. Also the land species are really abundant: big populations of wild pigs, deer, iguanas, agoutis, parrots and giant pigeons as well as about 100 other species of birds are located on the islands. In pre-Columbian times, the Pearl Islands were ruled by an Indian King whose main occupation was pearl-diving. Pearls were then used as ornaments and to trade.

Day 6 Snorkeling Tour
Activities:
- Make the most of any exploration of San Jose Island by taking with you snorkeling gear. You will discover that San Jose Island is as beautiful under the water as it is above.

Day 7 Free day at Pearl Island
Activities:
- Today is a free day to spend at Hacienda del Mar. Relax at the beach or explore the fascinating San José Island on one of the various tours offered by the resort.

Day 8 Departure
Departure: In the morning you will be transferred back to the airstrip where you will take your flight back to the capital. – (B)
