Overview
Japan is a country of small, beautifully-made decisions, stacked into something larger. The breakfast at a Kyoto ryokan, the seven-second train transfer at Shin-Osaka, the way a department-store food hall is organized. Travel here rewards travelers who notice — and a good itinerary spaces those moments so they don't blur.
We design Japan trips around the Shinkansen spine: Tokyo and the east, Kyoto and the Inland Sea, with optional detours to Hakone (Fuji views and onsen), the Kiso Valley, or Hiroshima and Miyajima. Spring (sakura) and autumn (koyo) are peak seasons and book out a year ahead — we plan those well in advance. Winter and shoulder seasons are quieter and underrated.
Best for: travelers who want depth in a country that rewards it, and don't mind a bit of structure. Not the trip for people who want to wing it.
