Tourcan Vacations is a registered travel wholesaler and retailer in the province of Ontario, Canada. As an Ontario-registered travel business, we are required by law to provide the following disclosures.
Registration
Tourcan Vacations holds two registrations with the Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO):
- Wholesale — TICO Registration #2679578
- Retail — TICO Registration #2743184
Both registrations are held by Tourcan Vacations at 245 Fairview Mall Drive, Suite 705, Toronto, Ontario M2J 4T1. The wholesale registration covers the tour packages and air we assemble and sell through travel agents; the retail registration covers travel services sold directly to consumers.
What TICO is
The Travel Industry Council of Ontario is the regulator of Ontario's travel industry. Its mandate is to protect consumers who purchase travel services from Ontario-registered businesses. All retail travel agencies and travel wholesalers selling to consumers in Ontario must be registered with TICO.
Consumer protection
Travel services purchased from a TICO-registered business are covered by the Travel Industry Compensation Fund, which provides financial protection to Ontario consumers in specific circumstances, including:
- The failure of an Ontario-registered travel agency or wholesaler, or of an end supplier (such as an airline or cruise line) that you purchased from through an Ontario-registered business
- The non-delivery of travel services for which you have paid
- Reimbursement for return-home transportation costs when an end supplier fails after departure
The fund is subject to maximum claim limits and specific eligibility criteria. Full terms are published by TICO and are subject to change.
Filing a claim
If you believe you have a claim against the Compensation Fund, contact TICO directly. Claims must be filed within six months of the event giving rise to the claim.

Your rights
As a consumer purchasing travel services from Tourcan Vacations, you are entitled to:
- Receive an invoice that clearly itemizes services, prices, and any applicable taxes and fees
- Receive a written confirmation of your booking
- Be informed in writing of any material changes to your travel services before you depart
- Cancel within the conditions of the contract and the protections afforded by TICO regulation
Travel insurance
Tourcan Vacations strongly recommends that all travellers purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, trip interruption, medical expenses, and baggage. Travel insurance is not included in the price of any Tourcan itinerary unless explicitly stated. We can refer you to a licensed insurance broker on request.
