Vietnam is shaped like a long, narrow letter — and any meaningful itinerary moves the length of it. Hanoi and Halong Bay in the north, the imperial city of Hue and lantern-lit Hoi An in the centre, Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta in the south. Internal flights stitch it together comfortably in twelve to fourteen days.

Food is a real reason to go. We routinely build private cooking sessions, market walks with a chef, and a few specifically chosen restaurants into every Vietnam itinerary.

Best in October through April when the country is dry top to bottom; the rest of the year, certain regions are better than others.
