Phillip Solomon

Phillip Solomon is the General Manager of Tourcan Vacations, where he is responsible for the company’s day-to-day operations as well as sales, marketing, training and development.

Originally from South Africa, Phillip studied History and Sociology at the University of Cape Town and began his professional career as a history teacher. He later moved into public relations, where his responsibilities included organizing incentive travel programs and researching destinations for company groups.

Those experiences introduced Phillip to international travel and took him to destinations including Hong Kong, Thailand, Israel, the United Kingdom and Brazil. After moving to Canada, he completed travel industry training and continued his career in tourism.

Today, Phillip combines his management experience, destination knowledge and passion for travel to support Tourcan’s team, travel advisors and partners. His extensive international travel experience allows him to share first-hand knowledge of many of the destinations Tourcan offers, while helping ensure the company maintains a high standard of service, expertise and professional development.
