Overview
Travel across Morocco's imperial cities, mountain valleys and desert landscapes on a 12-day private journey. The route combines guided city touring with a hammam, family lunch in Imlil, a cooking class in the Ourika Valley, and a sunrise camel ride in the Sahara.
Continue north through Fez and Volubilis to blue-washed Chefchaouen and Akchour, then visit Rabat before concluding with Casablanca and the Hassan II Mosque.

Welcome to Morocco! After clearing customs and collecting your luggage, our representative meets you outside the arrivals hall with a name board. Enjoy a brief overview of your tour during the transfer to your hotel (approx. 25 minutes). Check in and relax; the rest of the day is at leisure.

Marrakech City Tour & Hammam
After breakfast, meet your expert guide at 9 AM for a tour of the "Red City". View the 12th-century Koutoubia Mosque and its 282-ft minaret, then visit the 19th-century Bahia Palace, built by a powerful vizier, with its courtyards, gardens and fine artisan work. Explore the artisan quarters and colourful souks, continue to the Dar El Bacha Museum of Confluences, a 1910 riad once home to the Pasha of Marrakech, and finish at the lively Jemaa El F'na Square. Around 5 PM, unwind at a traditional hammam with a 30-minute black-soap scrub, a 30-minute Moroccan massage and tea. Return to the hotel before dinner at a local restaurant.

Marrakech – Imlil – Ourika Valley – Marrakech
After breakfast, drive about 1 hour 15 minutes to the Amazigh (Berber) valley of Imlil, famous for its orchards and loved by trekkers. Walk up to a hilltop village home where a local family welcomes you for a traditional lunch with bread and mint tea, with your private guide helping the conversation. Return to the hotel to freshen up, then head to the Ourika Valley for a cooking class with Chef Azzeddine Bennouna and his wife Marie at their Berber-style villa facing the Atlas Mountains. Tour the property and garden (season permitting), enjoy a welcome tea and a bread-making demonstration, and prepare a Moroccan dish that is served for dinner with a glass of wine. Return to Marrakech for the night.

Marrakech – Aït Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate
Following breakfast, cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka Pass (2,262 m) to the spectacular fortress of Aït Ben Haddou, the iconic kasbah seen in Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Continue to Ouarzazate and visit the Taourirt Kasbah, one of the most beautiful in the country, before checking in for dinner and overnight. (Approx. 4 hours 30 minutes driving.)

Depart at 9 AM for the oasis town of Skoura and visit the 17th-century Kasbah Amridil. Continue through the Dades Valley, the "Road of a Thousand Kasbahs", with its dramatic "Monkey Toes" rock formations. After lunch (own account), walk through the towering limestone cliffs of the Todra Gorges near Tinghir. Cross the desert to Merzouga, gateway to the Sahara, then switch to a 4x4 for the transfer through the golden dunes to your desert accommodation. (Approx. 5 hours 20 minutes driving.)

Merzouga – Erfoud – Midelt – Fez
Wake to the stillness of the Sahara with a sunrise camel ride over the dunes. After breakfast (9:30 AM), drive to Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops, then follow the palm-lined Ziz Valley past Berber villages. Pass Midelt, between the High and Middle Atlas, and stop for lunch before continuing through the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas (watch for Barbary macaques) and the towns of Azrou and Ifrane, "Little Switzerland". Arrive in Fez by late afternoon for dinner and overnight. (Approx. 7 hours 20 minutes driving.)

Fez City Tour
At 9 AM, your expert guide meets you for a full-day tour of Morocco's spiritual capital. Start at the bronze gates of the Royal Palace in Fez El-Jedid (exterior only), enjoy a panoramic view of the medina, then step into the world's largest medieval souk. Visit the leather souk and its nine-century-old tannery, the Al-Karaouine (the world's first university), a medersa (Koranic school), a clay workshop and the artisan quarters. Lunch is at a traditional restaurant in the medina.

After breakfast at 9 AM, drive to Chefchaouen, "The Pearl of Morocco", with its blue-and-white lime-washed houses. Chefchaouen – Excursion to Akchour
At 8 AM, set off on a day trip to the Akchour waterfall, one of Morocco's hidden gems. The trail follows the river past small cascades through a lush, moss-covered forest in the Rif Mountains. After lunch (included), enjoy free time before returning to Chefchaouen. Rest of the day at leisure.
