Overview

This nine-day journey pairs Kathmandu and Pokhara with a trekking section in the Nepalese hills. It begins in Kathmandu, continues to Pokhara, and then heads out to a trekking camp before returning to Pokhara and Kathmandu.

The itinerary includes a full day at the trekking camp, giving you time to enjoy the surroundings on foot before returning to the lakeside town and the capital.

Accommodation is arranged on a per-person sharing basis with hotel taxes included. Arrival and departure transfers, local guides, meals as listed in the itinerary and applicable transportation are part of the plan where applicable.

The itinerary

Upon arrival at airport in Nepal, you will be warmly met by a representative, who will provide assistance and transfer to your accommodation to check-in. Activities: • Remainder of day at leisure. Overnight: Kathmandu

Activities: • Sightseeing tour of Kathmandu • Visit the Pashupatinath temple • Visit the Kathmandu Durbar Square • Visit the Patan Durbar Square (UNESCO World Heritage Site) • Visit the Mahabouddha Temple • Visit the Tibetan Refugee Camp • Rickshaw ride around Thamel Area Optional Activities: • Morning flight to witness Mount Everest. • Evening traditional Nepalese Dance and dinner at one of the local restaurant (Utsav Restaurant/Nepali Chulo/Bancha Ghar). Activities: • Visit Swayambhunath Stupa (monkey temple)-UNESCO World Heritage Site. • Boating on Phewa Lake-the second largest lake in the country. Overnight: Pokhara – (B)

Activities: • Excursion to Sarankot to view Himalayas during sunrise. • Visit Bindyabasini Temple. • Visit Hemja Village. • Visit Davi’s Waterfall. • Visit Gupteswor Cave. Overnight: Pokhara – (B)
Day 5 · Pokhara
Pokhara – Trekking Camp
Activities: • Depart to the trek start point. • Day at leisure. Optional Activities: • Walk to the nearby village of Birethanti. • Or you may choose to spend the afternoon exploring the surrounding river valley. Overnight: Trekking Camp – (B, L, D)

Activities: • Trek to Ker & Downey’s Gurung Lodge. • Visit to the local village of Majhgaun and Museum. Overnight: Trekking Camp – (B, L, D)

Activities: • Trek to the Chandrakot Village. Overnight: Pokhara – (B)
Day 8 · Kathmandu
Pokhara - Kathmandu
Activities: • Visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Bhaktapur. • Boudhanath Stupa (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Overnight: Pokhara – (B)
Day 9 · Kathmandu
Depart Kathmandu
Activities: Day at leisure until check out.
