Overview
This grand escorted tour unites three countries and two continents. It opens in Barcelona with Gaudí's Sagrada Família and a high-speed train to Madrid, then crosses into Portugal by way of university-town Salamanca to Porto, with a Douro River cruise and Port wine tasting.
The Portuguese chapter continues through Coimbra, the shrine of Fátima, Batalha and Nazaré to Lisbon and an evening of fado. Back in Spain, Córdoba's Mezquita, Seville's cathedral and the clifftop town of Ronda lead to the Costa del Sol.
From Tarifa the journey crosses to Morocco for Casablanca, Marrakech, Rabat, Meknes and Fez, before returning to Andalusia for the Alhambra in Granada, a flamenco evening and imperial Toledo on the way back to Madrid — all in the care of an English-speaking tour director.
