This 12-day journey through Chile combines vibrant city experiences with dramatic desert landscapes, volcanic scenery, salt flats, lakes, and Patagonia’s spectacular natural surroundings.
The journey begins in Santiago with a panoramic city tour before continuing to San Pedro de Atacama, where experiences include sunset in the Mars and Moon valleys, the vast Atacama salt flat, saline lagoons, flamingoes, and the traditional town of Toconao. The itinerary then travels south to Puerto Varas for visits to Puerto Montt, Petrohue, Lake Llanquihue, Lake Todos los Santos, and views of Osorno volcano. The final stage takes in Puerto Natales, including a full-day visit to Torres del Paine National Park and the Cave of the Mylodon, before returning to Santiago for departure.

Activities: • Conveniently-scheduled transfer from hotel to airport to board flight to the city of Calama. Reception at Calama airport and transfer to the town of San Pedro de Atacama. • In the afternoon, you will see the sunset from the best spot in northern Chile: the Mars and Moon valleys in the Salt Mountains. Capricious clay and salt structures created millions of years ago by mineral deposits turn into a lunar landscape at dusk. Overnight: San Pedro De Atacama – (B)

Activities: • Morning visit to Chile’s largest salt deposit: the Atacama salt flat, with an extension of 3000 Km 2. Located between the Andes and the Domeyko mountain range at an altitude of 2305 meters, this vast expanse of white is dotted with small saline lagoons in shades of blue, turquoise, pink or grey, where it is also possible to observe three protected species of flamingoes (Andean, Chilean and James). • Visit to the traditional town of Toconao.
