Cusco: Brushstrokes of Tradition

A half day that joins Cusco's sacred history with a quietly indulgent afternoon. Begin at Koricancha, the Inca Temple of the Sun whose fitted stone walls still stand beneath a colonial convent, then continue to the colossal zigzag ramparts of Sacsayhuamán above the city.

The afternoon ends among the eucalyptus of the Qenqo forest, where a gourmet picnic of cheeses, seasonal fruit and wine is laid out. Between glasses, an art class introduces the Torito de Pucará, the painted ceramic bull that guards Andean rooftops, and you paint your own to take home.
