Overview
This journey follows the big cats of Rajasthan. It begins in Jaipur with a safari in Jhalana, India's first leopard reserve, a 20-square-kilometre forest in the Aravalli hills, which are among the oldest mountains in the country.
From Jodhpur, with Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada and a Bishnoi village, the route heads to Bera. There you have three full days of jeep safaris in leopard country. After a stop in holy Pushkar, two more days of jungle safaris in Ranthambore National Park give you the best chance of seeing a tiger.
The trip ends with a train journey back to Delhi and a final night before your flight home.
