At Deolia House in Udaipur, a gracious host from a noble family of the former Ajmer state, with ancestral ties to the royal estate of Jodhpur, welcomes guests into her heritage home.
After picking fresh ingredients at a local market, guests cook a multi-course Rajasthani meal with her, such as gatte ki sabzi, laal maas, fresh rotis and chutneys. They cook with traditional utensils, either indoors or in her garden kitchen.
